Diningroom as Home Office? YIKES!

Are you using your diningroom as a home office? Planning to sell your house? YIKES! Potential Buyers only know what they see. “This isn’t a family home – where will we all eat?” “This house must be incredibly small – they have to use the diningroom as the home office!” “Oh, I remember that house – the one that didn’t have a diningroom.”
Perhaps you have a wonderful imagination. But the vast majority of people have enormous difficulty imagining how they could use space and whether or not their furniture would fit into a room. First impressions count. A lot.
That’s why you need to put time and energy into properly preparing your home for sale. Because you’re selling your house, not your home.
They way you live in your home and the way you prepare your house for sale are two completely different things. We all find creative ways to use space in our homes. But when it comes time to present your house to potential buyers, it is important to restore the intended purpose of the various areas of your home. (And that includes the 3rd bedroom you’re currently using as a home office.)
